Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide on-site installation, repairs, and maintenance of CNC Machine Tool product line.

  • Through preventative and corrective maintenance, ensure customer equipment performs at an optimal level of quality and efficiency.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot defects in CNC Machine Tools.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.

  • Investigate customer complaints and perform analysis to determine the cause of the problem.

  • Act as a liaison with the customer and providing customer support so that products are used at an optimal level.

  • Determine which replacement parts will be needed for service calls and ensure that they are available.

  • Provide detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.

  • Maintain all company-provided equipment, including tools and company service vehicle.

  • Understand and follow all service operations and procedures and submit completed company-required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Must be available to travel as customer demands require and do so within company provided directions and guidelines.

  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and requirements

  • Assist other Field Engineers as directed.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Experience in technical field support - machine tools, automation, or electromechanical controls.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.

  • Install, commission, and align CNC Machine Tools.

  • CNC programming knowledge is a preferred asset.

  • Must be customer oriented, conscientious and career minded as well as organized and possessing excellent people skills.

  • Good communication skills, have a valid driver's license and be able to travel within Eastern Canada but predominantly in Southern Ontario.
