Requirements

  • 5+ years working experience in Modeling/texturing/shading
  • Expert knowledge in Maya, ZBrush, Substance, Mari, Arnold
  • Knowledge of Houdini and Solaris a plus.
  • Knowledge of creature/character asset creation a plus.
  • Experience in creation of layouts and modular assets for large scale environments.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team of artists.
  • Problem-solving skills; including the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to deliver consistently high quality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong Demo Reel showing artistic sensibility, and creative problem solving
  • Ability to work within a strong team environment, and willingness to share knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of asset artists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Work closely with other departments, including CG and VFX supervisors, to help plan and create assets.
  • Define and maintain the artistic vision for assets, ensuring consistency and adherence to the project's aesthetic and technical requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in asset creation and optimization, leveraging your technical expertise to solve complex challenges and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Conduct regular reviews of asset work-in-progress and final deliverables, providing constructive feedback to artists and implementing necessary revisions to meet project standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging open communication, professional growth, and knowledge sharing among team members.

  • Must live in and be eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 CND. Individual salaries within this range will be dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may vary by location due to regional regulations and company policies.
