Purpose of the role:
As a Machine Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the cohesive end-to-end design of RAM products and components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You have Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- You have experience of successfully designing and documenting complex or large-scale industrial machinery including engagement with groups of internal and external suppliers.
- You have excellent grasp of first principles in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- You are proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and production of detailed drawings to engineering standards.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
- You have experience with Creo.
- You are registered with EGBC as an EIT or P.Eng.
What success looks like in this role:
- You will deliver rotary adsorption machine (RAM) product designs to Svante and its customers meeting all project and product requirements.
- You will contribute to the development of detailed RAM requirements.
- You will support and lead risk reviews using tools such as DFMEA.
- You will lead design reviews, design verification of components and sub-systems of the RAM.
- You will support concept, prototype assembly and integration, pre-production and production, of digital and physical machine build.
- You will produce documentation for Concept phase design, Detailed design, IQC, SOP, JHA, FAT and SAT.
