In this role you'll find yourself doing these tasks:
- Receiving escalations from lower tiers for more difficult or urgent issues
- Developing and maintaining internal processes and automations to support the team
- Assist in training and mentoring of lower tier techs
- Provide clear communication to clients both verbally and written
- Provide the Client with remote and on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, installation & removal of equipment
- Managing IT Infrastructure
- Participating in IT Projects
- Receiving escalations from lower tiers for more difficult or urgent issues
- CreateUpdate documentation of procedures, run books and network configurations
- Managing and recording all work through our Ticketing System
- Identify, Communicate and Mitigate potential risks

Technical Skills and Accreditations:
- Strong understanding of hardware, software and networking systems along with related troubleshooting skills
- Microsoft, Fortinet, CompTIA or other industry certifications
- Microsoft Windows Server expertise and knowledge/experience with virtualization and cloud based platforms such as Hyper-V, Azure, etc.
- Active Directory and Microsoft 365 management
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, InTune)
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TPCIP, Routing, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, etc.) including network troubleshooting for connectivity issues using tools such as PING, NSLOOKUP and NETSTAT
Must Have:
- Post-Secondary education with more than 5 years IT supportconsulting experience
- CLASS 5 driver's license and vehicle for daily use
- Criminal Record Check
- Reside in Victoria BC
- Occasional off-hours and on-call work to meet IT system demands
- Experience with ticketing systems considered an asset
