What are we looking for?

As an Intermediate Designer, you will continue to bridge creativity and technical expertise to contribute meaningfully to projects balancing aesthetics and functionality. This role will deepen your engagement with design principles and advanced software tools, positioning you to make significant contributions to innovative design solutions. It will mark a step forward in your professional development, challenging you to apply your growing knowledge and experience in varied design contexts.

Whereas as a Senior Designer, your role will extend your experience, granting you a higher degree of autonomy and increased involvement with external stakeholders. Skillfully blending creativity with technical proficiency, you will contribute significantly to projects prioritizing aesthetics and functionality. While collaborating within project teams and engaging with external stakeholders, you will also begin to take on the responsibility of reviewing the work of others. This will position empower you to apply your knowledge of design principles and software tools to advance innovative design solutions.

What you will do:

  • Creating and refining design concepts and/or development of detailed plans and construction documents leveraging BIM (Building Information Modeling) ensuring adherence to project requirements and design intent.
  • Preparing and/or coordinating drawings/documents primarily utilizing Revit in accordance with client specifications, budget, applicable building codes, and project timelines with the support and guidance of our team.
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws.
  • Attending site visits, meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and municipalities.

What you will bring:

  • Degree/Diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture.
  • 2 - 5 years of progressively more responsible roles within Architecture firms.
  • Proficient experience in Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Good working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws with experience in the municipal approval process.
  • Seeking and sharing knowledge of current design techniques, building systems, design trends and developments to improve technical skills and project quality.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid role, with 2 days in the studio.
