Marketing & HR Assistant

We have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing & HR Assistant to join Virgin Law Group. Working as a part of a strong administration team and reporting to the firm's Human Resources Manager, the Marketing & HR Assistant will work within a dynamic group of lawyers and legal support members. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to break into or obtain growth within the legal industry and gain further experience in marketing, social media and human resources.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Support the recruitment efforts, including job postings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, candidate assessments, and maintaining relationships with employment agencies
  • Assist with onboarding initiatives, including new hire packages and orientation schedules
  • Provide calendar management to the Human Resources Manager
  • Assist with development of policies and procedures
  • Assist with implementing exit interviews
  • Manage employee birthday cards, anniversary announcements
  • Manage the scheduling of all Management meetings
  • Maintain confidential HR files and databases

Marketing & Social Media

  • Website and social media management
  • Schedule new employee website photos
  • Posting of new employee biographies and lawyer publishments
  • Event Planning and organizing seminars
  • Content creation
  • Support a wide variety of administrative tasks to the COO and Director of Administration from time to time to effectively lead the company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative/professional workspace
  • Marketing and/or human resources experience is considered an asset
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work within a team and individually
  • Working knowledge of ESA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and, Facebook.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external professionals.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results driven, analytical, self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to logically identify solutions or approaches to issues.
