BLANKSLATE Partners is excited to partner with a well-established Vancouver-based Public Accounting boutique firm to hire their Manager of Assurance.

Ideal Candidate is a CPA designated Manager of Assurance with progressive experience within Public Practice.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to and working with the Partners to ensure the smooth running of Assurance area of the business.

• Provide leadership in the preparation and completion of Review and Assurance engagements.

• Oversee the preparation and review of working files and financial statements for compilation, review and audit engagements, incl. tax returns and other required compliance.

• Supervise, train, mentor and help on-board junior staff and review their work.

• Ensure deadlines are met and resolve issues with clients

• Working knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, Taxprep, and MS Office.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of post-designation in public practice with a focus on Assurance – audit and review.
• 3-5+ years of management/supervisory experience.
• Thrives in a hands-on environment and excels at providing mentorship.
• Recent experience in a mid-sized firm is an asset
