Lovse Surveys Ltd is a small company that provides survey services to Builders, Developers and Individuals in Calgary and surrounding areas. We currently have an immediate opening for a Design and Drafting Technician.
Design and Drafting Technician
Skill/Education Requirements:
2 Year Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma (or equivalent) from a qualified technical institution
3-5 Years experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (Version 2018 or higher preferred)
High level written and oral communication skills are essential to the success of any potential candidates
Attention to detail
Good work ethic
Good communication with fellow employees
Basic math
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints
Working knowledge of local land use bylaws an asset
Prior experience drafting Plot Plans, Lot Grading Certificates, Field Layout Calculations and/or Real Property Reports an asset
Experience with advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D functions, such as surfaces and grading, an asset
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 an asset
Responsibilities:
To assist in our busy drafting department
The position is full-time, wage commensurate with experience.
Monday to Friday, (some overtime and weekends may be required).
We will train and there is the opportunity for advancement.
