One of our food processing clients in Winnipeg, MB is looking for an 2nd Class Power Engineer for their facility.
Shift: Rotational
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the steam plant and system, overseeing various utilities such as
HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas, refrigeration, and scrubber.
Contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the rendering department.Supervise contractors and engage with manufacturers and vendors.
Establish and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Preventive
Maintenance (PM) plans, Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Work Orders (WOs).
Lead project development and implementation, with a focus on utilities initiatives.
Adhere to all health and safety and food safety policy requirements.
Facilitate the development and training of employees.
Cultivate a culture of participation, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Hold a 2nd Class Power Engineering ticket.
Possess experience in steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a food production plant or manufacturing environment is an asset.
Additional certifications such as Millwright and Plumbing are advantageous.Possess good computer skills.
Demonstrate experience in project management.
