One of our food processing clients in Winnipeg, MB is looking for an 2nd Class Power Engineer for their facility.

Shift: Rotational

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the steam plant and system, overseeing various utilities such as

• HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas, refrigeration, and scrubber.

• Contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the rendering department.Supervise contractors and engage with manufacturers and vendors.

• Establish and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Preventive

• Maintenance (PM) plans, Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Work Orders (WOs).

• Lead project development and implementation, with a focus on utilities initiatives.

• Adhere to all health and safety and food safety policy requirements.

• Facilitate the development and training of employees.

• Cultivate a culture of participation, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Hold a 2nd Class Power Engineering ticket.

• Possess experience in steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

• Capable of working effectively in a team environment.

• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in a food production plant or manufacturing environment is an asset.
  Additional certifications such as Millwright and Plumbing are advantageous.

• Possess good computer skills.

• Demonstrate experience in project management.
