Job Description

Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, the industrial buyer is responsible for developing the market in the Kingston, Ontario region for AIM Recycling in terms of recycling. The incumbent must develop good relationships with the various suppliers while constantly seeking new customers. The Industrial buyer works closely with the Regional Manager, he seeks to exceed purchasing goals.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Solicit customers and develop its own customer base (e.g. dealerships, garages, body shops, impound yards, )
  • Build lasting relationships throughout the automotive and recycling industry;
  • Prospecting in person, on the phone, by email and via social media
  • Negotiate purchasing conditions
  • Ensure good communication with other departments.
Qualifications
  • Hold a postsecondary diploma
  • Have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a good driving record
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in outside sales and prospecting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Numeracy and mental math skills
  • Relationship building acumen
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Travel (80% of the time on the road)
