Accountant

Finance and Administration

Location: Victoria, British Columbia

Reporting to: Controller

Ralmax Group of Companies has an exciting and immediate opening for a full-time position in Finance working with a small professional team who are responsible for accounting and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly expense reports and credit card reconciliations
  • Oversee and assist with AR/AP as needed including collections
  • Cash flow management
  • Inventory review and adjustments
  • GST/PST review and filing
  • Review job cost transactions and PO processes to ensure costs are accurately recorded
  • Ability to understand intercompany transactions
  • Monthly general ledger review and adjustments
  • Preparation of month end financial statements
  • Preparation of year end working papers and assisting with external auditor requests
  • Assisting the Controller with forecasting and reporting on financial KPI's

Education and Experience:

  • At least two years' experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • A minimum accounting knowledge equivalent to 2nd year accounting program
  • Preferred: interested in or pursuing an accounting designation

General Skills:

  • Must possess a broad range of computer software knowledge and an aptitude for accounting
  • Must be capable with MS Word, MS Excel and specialized accounting software
  • Hard working and able to work with limited supervision
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills is a must
