Canlan Sports is currently looking to hire Intern, Event Sponsorship Activation Team Member.

JOB SUMMARY:

Big changes are happening and right now, we are on an exciting path. Our mission is to make sure every customer feels connected to a thriving sports community and drive topline revenue…but how are we going to know we are successful? That's where you come in. We need help with the implementation of our sponsorship activations, bringing our initiatives to life and in ensuring we deliver value to both our customers and our clients.

To be more specific, we need help liaising with the client and our facilities to ensure the set up for onsite activations goes off without a hitch. We need someone who is engaging and has the leadership qualities to lead a small onsite activation team. Someone who can step in and lead by example if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development of sponsorship reports of campaign performance and consolidate in presentations to clients.
  • Cooperate with Sponsorship partners to ensure the effectiveness of all on site activation related sponsorship marketing materials including promotional contests.
  • Assist in collaboration with all internal stakeholders from product teams, marketing and sports complex colleagues to launch and execute sponsorship on-site events.
  • Coordinate meetings and project manage sponsorship on-site activations as required by external stakeholders.
  • Assist and lead set up and tear down of onsite activations. Manage high traffic flow of customers and to ensure full audience connectivity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursuing a post-Secondary Degree preferable in Sports Marketing, or Sports Business.
  • Experience in a client facing role and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift ~50lbs (the role will require a form of manual labor for event set up and tear down)
  • Knowledge of Hockey as you will be providing educational material for clients and customers.
