Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shop Foreman to join our team in Scarborough, ON. This is a full-time position where the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy auto repair shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the auto industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This position offers a base salary plus commission, and the opportunity to advance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $55000 to $85000 per year, salary/bonus combined paid biweekly. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate can expect to receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the auto repair shop, including scheduling and delegating tasks to technicians and other staff members
- Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency in the shop to meet and exceed customer expectations and business goals
- Monitor and manage the performance of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure timely and quality repairs
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status, address any concerns or complaints, and ensure a positive customer experience
- Conduct regular inventory checks and order necessary supplies and parts as needed to maintain a well-stocked and organized shop
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations in the shop
- Train and mentor new technicians, promoting a supportive and collaborative team environment
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements to continuously improve shop operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the auto industry, with a strong background in auto repair and service
- Previous management experience is preferred, but not required
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of auto repair techniques, tools, and equipment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
