POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Logistics & Distribution, the Logistic Analyst engages internal business units to identify and quantify improvement opportunities, analyze business needs, and implement solutions. The mandate is to act as the bridge between the business and IT, ensure effective use of technology, drive efficient cross-departmental process flow, and improve both internal and external customer experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Actively participate as a member of the Logistics & Distribution group to understand national and cross departmental business processes, facilitate cross-functional improvements, and assist with prioritization
  • Play a liaison role between System department & Logistics & Distribution
  • Complete detailed process analysis; gather data, investigate cause-effect relationships, identify root cause, summarize analysis and findings, and devise plan of action
  • Be the systems expert and IT advocate for the business areas - act as a resource to help to identify and prioritize projects, define new processes and change requirements, and document business cases
  • Produce detailed business specifications and test cases for system changes which will be translated into technical requirements and eventual User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Execute UAT in conjunction with business users and subject matter experts
  • Assist in implementing system or business process changes
  • Develop and maintain a program of standard work processes and best practices
  • Provide project status updates and feedback to the departments, Supply & Systems group, and executives
  • Assist with related training initiatives, as required
  • Develop strong internal relationships with business stakeholders
  • Compile and present weekly / monthly department reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • College or University education or equivalent
  • Experience in a business/requirements analyst role
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Access/Data warehouse, Power Point
  • Solid Experience in writing SQL queries
  • Proven leadership, influencing and facilitation skills and business acumen
