Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Telemetry nursing for a travel position in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Telemetry setting.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac patients' vital signs and telemetry data

• Assess and interpret cardiac rhythms and ECG readings

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

• Collaborate with healthcare team for comprehensive care planning

• Educate patients on cardiac monitoring and self-care techniques

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions

• Respond to alarms and changes in patient condition promptly

• Ensure compliance with telemetry monitoring protocols and safety measures

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in Nova Scotia

• 4 years of experience in a telemetry setting.

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.

• BLS certifications required.
