Join us as a Woodworking Labourer, aiding the woodworking supervisor in fabricating, building, and installing site furnishings, wood structures, fencing, and retaining walls primarily on commercial sites.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate various tools and equipment
• Assist in material handling
• Participate in training and safety meetings
• Assist across in other Horizon Divisions as required

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of carpentry experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Steel-toed boots
• Ability to frequently lift 50-80lbs"
• Tools Required
  • CSA safety boots with a 6” ankle support.
  • Tools belt with hammer hanger. Recommend harness style but belt style is ok too.
  • 6” Speed square
  • 16' tape measure
  • Torpedo level
  • Dicky bar (glazing bar)
  • Carpenters pencil.
  • Nail bar.
  • Chalk line.
  • Utility knife. Medium.
  • GOOD Knee pads that you can kneel in for extended periods of time. These cannot have a hard front on them as this will scratch decking. We recommend “all terrain” knee pads with Gel pads.
