We're seeking a seasoned Frontend Developer to join our engineering team, tasked with a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and execution of our cloud-based sales quoting platform. Leveraging the Shape Up methodology, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing new features and enhancements. Your contributions will directly influence the strategic direction of our product as you collaborate closely with our experienced founders and Product team.

In this role, you will thrive in a culture that emphasizes clean code, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll enjoy autonomy and ownership as you work alongside a small, agile team focused on delivering maximum business value every six-week cycle. This position offers a unique blend of collaborative team efforts and individual autonomy, directly interfacing with our Product team to build proofs of concept and devise efficient and innovative solutions that significantly enhance the experiences of our Partners (customers).

Responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with the foundational engineering team to architect, estimate, develop, and test new features and improvements using the Shape Up methodology.
  • Work directly with the founders, experienced developers with a proven track record in SaaS, to influence the development direction.
  • Uphold a culture of clean code, collaboration, iterative development, rapid releases, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Prioritize team velocity over individual performance, leading with trust, transparency, and autonomy to achieve impactful results.
  • Engage in collaboration, pair-programming, and peer review to ensure efficient, high-quality code delivery.
  • Contribute to a remote-hybrid, results-first culture, showcasing autonomy and ownership in a distributed work environment.
  • Embrace opportunities for learning and improvement, staying updated on the latest frontend development trends and technologies.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to successful delivery.

Qualifications.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of frontend software development experience with expertise in Javascript/Typescript, React, and state management tools like Redux or Mobx. Proficient in writing automated tests using tools such as Jest and Cypress/Selenium. Fluent in semantic HTML/CSS. Exemplary written and verbal English skills.
  • Self-Starter: Thrive on productivity with minimal external motivation, demonstrating a sense of urgency in task completion.
  • Quality-driven: Take pride in delivering high-quality work and possess a thorough understanding of software development concepts that emphasize readability, maintainability, and testability.
