Position SummaryOur Specialist, Partner Marketing, is responsible for supporting direct-to-consumer marketing programs in domestic & US markets. Acting as the link between our key destination management organization (DMO) and airline partners and Travel Alberta's internal teams, the specialist builds strong relationships and programs that support the collective best interests of all parties.

What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years experience supporting paid marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Experience working with agencies, contractors, and vendors including briefing, trafficking, developing optimizations, A/B testing and reporting metrics.
- Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple campaigns, partner programs simultaneously.
- Able to provide strategic recommendations backed by data, and transform data into insights
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritize initiatives within politically sensitive situations.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, particularly in managing the needs of external stakeholders, internal team members, and agency partners while maintaining relationships.
- Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting plans, media strategies and results to internal and external partners.
- Understanding of the tourism industry is preferred.
- Understanding of how to tailor insights to different stakeholders, whether working peer group or senior executives, preferred.
Stakeholder Relationship and Communications
- Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders including Destination Canada, DMOs, airlines and tourism industry stakeholders.
- Facilitate ongoing communication (virtual or in-person) to ensure partners are continually updated on the who, why, what and when of Travel Alberta's activities.
- Maintain familiarity with tourism products and new experiences.
- Identify emerging industry needs and act as an intermediary between partners to proactively seek out programs to support the industry. Ensure stakeholder alignment with campaigns.
- Act as the funnel between external tourism partners and internal stakeholders or agencies to enable campaign alignment between teams, agencies, partners and digital touchpoints.
- Support the development and execution of co-operative marketing plans and tactics in alignment with Travel Alberta business goals and partner objectives.
- Collaborate with internal creative team and agency partners on all creative production and trafficking.
- Monitor campaign performance, provide recommendations, and help facilitate creative recommendations and approvals.
- Coordinate internal resources and hold external agencies accountable to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Support Travel Alberta's campaigns in other aspects and tasks as identified by the Manager, Marketing Partnerships.
- Facilitate ongoing measurement and reporting for campaigns.
- Continually monitor, track, and optimize campaign performance with agency partners to achieve our goals.
- Report program performance and share success and learning both internally and externally.
