Position: Central Operations Specialist(s)
Position Type: Full time - Hourly
Location(s): Surrey, Prince George, Nanaimo, Edmonton
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week


Position Overview
Velocity Truck Centres is Western Canada's first and longest standing DTNA Elite support certified group of facilities in Canada. Reporting to the Director of Central Operations- Service & Body Shop, US & CAN, the Central Operations Specialist(s) will be accountable for supporting our business within the service department.

Principal Responsibilities
• Keep up to date on all current best practices and elite support criteria.
• Develop process and policies to continuously improve the service department operations.
• Willing and able to contribute to strategic projects within the service department.
• Process and support service staff payroll.
• Partner with finance to ensures vendors are paid timely and accurately.
• Monitor and review accounting schedules to provide training and quality assurance within service processes.
• Reconciles payments daily for service department.
• Provides reporting and metrics to service management supporting strategic goals.
• Supports a culture of safety through reporting, training support and maintaining records.
• Promote a successful customer experience by supporting both internal and external communications (including social media mgmt., Medallia mgmt., internal communication boards, etc.).
• Above average computer skills which include Microsoft office suite (word, excel).

Required Qualifications
• 3-5 years' experience in a service operations role.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient in remote working tools (Zoom/Teams, file sharing, etc.)
• Well-developed organizational skills.
• Exemplary coaching and/or mentoring skills.
• Experience supporting/leading projects and working with lean methodologies.
• Heavy-Duty truck experience preferred.
• Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience preferred.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
