Responsibilities

Physician Support

  • Preparing and sending letters to referring physicians or specialist.
  • Printing and providing patients with prescriptions.
  • Sending out requisitions for DI.
  • Printing and providing patient with laboratory requisitions.
  • Preparing patient letters, notes, documents, etc.

Patient Support

  • Coordinating medical care for patients.
  • Following up with patients on their results
  • Scheduling patients for follow up appointments
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to PIPEDA regulations.

Clinic Operations

  • Processing MCP billings with the highest degree of accuracy and attention and rigorously follow up
    and collect rejected claims.
  • Process uninsured payments through Med Access and Point of Sale system.
  • Overseeing the operation and our EMR (Med Access), including development of new functionality as
    required.
  • Maintaining physician clinic schedules as needed.
  • Ensuring the smooth flow of the clinic operations.
  • Performing miscellaneous Med Access EMR tasks as required or requested.

What you will bring

  • Strong experience with Telus Med Access is critical.
  • Previous experience in a medical clinic or office is critical.
  • Enthusiasm, energy and passion for seeing our organization grow and a desire to contribute to our
    success.
  • A genuine interest in the patients healthcare and well-being.
  • Positive attitude, personable, and enjoys interacting with coworkers, patients and physicians.
  • Comfortable with a paperless office, computers, software and ability to learn new systems is critical.
  • Flexible and comfortable with and can adapt to change in clinical operations and strive for excellence.
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Enjoy and work well within a team environment to achieve team goals.
  • A keen interest in a career in the health services field.
