What Will You Be Doing as a Marine Mechanic?
- Conduct water tests on boats to address performance issues, evaluate propellers, and test new products. This role requires a valid driver's license and a boating license.
- Perform seasonal services, including winterizations, to keep boats in peak condition.
- Assemble various types of boats, including utility boats, side consoles, full windshield boats, pontoons, and deck boats.
- Build boats for retail sale according to a production schedule for Legend Boats.
- Carry out warranty repairs and adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Work efficiently in the workshop to meet daily production and repair goals.
What are we looking for in a Marine Mechanic?
- Is someone who is mechanically and diagnostically inclined, has attention to detail and is good at explaining/teaching things
- Has 3 - 10 years experience and a vast knowledge of boats, motors and trailers
- Loves being on the water and lives the boating lifestyle
- Has good working knowledge of 2 stroke and four stroke outboards
- Is Fluent in both French and English (not required but definitely a plus)
- Has Mercury Certification (required)
Salary: $30 - $35 hourly based on experience and Required Mercury certifications
