Kleinschmidt has an immediate opening for a full-time Proposal Assistant/Coordinator (depending upon qualifications) in any Kleinschmidt office in North America. Candidates must be located in either Nova Scotia or Ontario.

A successful Proposal Assistant / Coordinator is a creative, highly organized, self-motivated multi-tasker who provides firm-wide coordination of proposal and qualification packages and procurement process management while interfacing with professional staff from request for proposal (RFP) tracking through document preparation and finalization. The Proposal Assistant / Coordinator will also support the internal operations of the marketing department by developing and maintaining materials such as resumes, project data sheets, service profile sheets and creating proposal and marketing graphics.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Marketing, English, Communications or Journalism, Engineering or Sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-5 years of experience providing proposal coordination and marketing support in the Architectural Engineering and Construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • Experience with federal government procurement process, i.e. SAM.gov preferred.
  • Experience in general business/professional/office, knowledge of A/E/C industry and RFP process preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop) preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail and highly organized required.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines and assignments.
  • Ability to handle quick turnaround requests in a fast-paced work environment with poise and maturity while balancing overlapping no-fail deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Possess enthusiasm for and ability to initiate continuous process improvements.
  • Passionate about professional growth and ongoing skill development.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
