As an independent contractor, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of over 100 Social Workers and Psychotherapists spread across Canada, all united in our commitment to providing unparalleled mental health services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual intake assessments to understand client's needs, concerns, and goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Provide virtual counselling and psychotherapy sessions, prioritizing confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
- Engage in rapport-building with clients both during and outside of sessions by sharing homework, researching resources and writing personalized emails and cards.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to ensure holistic client support.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress, utilizing feedback and outcome measures.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client interactions and progress notes using Jane.
- Actively participate in supervision sessions and team meetings for knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices through continuous education and professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with your college and associations registration and licensing standards of practice and guidelines.
Requirements
- Hold a master's-level degree in social work or psychotherapy.
- Registration as an RSW, or RP.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience in or psychotherapy, preferably in a virtual or telehealth setting.
- Individual professional liability insurance.
- Proficiency in conducting virtual therapy sessions using secure telehealth platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Reliable internet connection and a private, secure workspace conducive to virtual therapy sessions.
Nice to have
- Experience in specific populations or presenting concerns (e.g., trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, or relationship issues).
- Training or certification in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, IFS or EMDR ).
- Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms for documentation and billing.
- Ability to communicate and provide therapy in additional languages is considered an asset.
