Position: Buyer Reports to: Supply Chain Manger
We are looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team! Our Buyer will be sourcing and purchasing ingredients for our delicious, plant-powerful products.
Opportunities
In this role, you will be involved in purchasing raw ingredients and packaging from local and international suppliers. You will have experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management. You must have sound project management skills to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. You will also be involved with procurement process including PO's, inventory management, contract negotiations, new supplier approvals and process improvement. This role will give you the opportunity to build cross functional relationships internally and externally to the business. You will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team who has a direct impact on the product through purchasing as well as drive new initiatives and contribute in a meaningful way!

- You have 3-5 years of sourcing and buying experience
- You have experience purchasing food ingredients
- You have some co-packing experience
- You have post-secondary education in supply chain management
things you will do…
- Champion procurement activities in a busy food production environment
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, manage material requirements and associated logistics
- Source food ingredients ensuring items purchased follow established policies and procedures
- Negotiate and track contracts with brokers or suppliers providing analytical data and reports to support
- Generate savings on raw materials and logistics using commodity knowledge to support business objectives
- Ensure the quality of materials, competitive pricing, and sufficient supply at all times
