Job Description:

The Flow Measurement Products Specialist will provide engineered solutions to our customers from our wide portfolio of primary flow elements such as; venturi, wedge, , pitot tube, orifice plate, etc. This involves analyzing the customer's technical requirements, defining the complete engineering solution in collaboration with our subcontractors per ASME code, and preparing a comprehensive proposal. Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of fluid dynamics are essential to succeed in this role.

Once production commences, you will supervise the full cycle of our activities, including the manufacturing process and related QA.

The candidate will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with our network of vendors across Canada and the USA. The candidate can work either from Montreal, QC, or Sarnia, ON.

Responsibilities

As a Flow Measurement Products Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Validating customer needs and ensuring that our solutions meet their requirements.
  • Preparing accurate and competitive quotations for our customers.
  • Leading the engineering process for the selection and design of primary flow elements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with our sub-contractors.
  • Supervising the production of our engineered solutions ensuring that they meet our standards.
  • Providing technical support to customers for after-sales inquiries.
  • Supporting our sales team in their growth initiatives by providing technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in flow measurement engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of ASME code and flow measurement standards (AGA, ISO, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD software and design tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-oriented and problem-solving mindset
  • Fluent in English and some knowledge of French is an asset.
