We are immediately hiring for a dynamic, confident and solution driven SALES PROFESSIONAL, to cultivate working relationships and new business opportunities with our partner distributors, commercial contractors (flooring and tiling), installers, specifiers, architects, and other key business influencers, through job site visits, cold calls, distributor training, professional presentations, and exemplifying the ARDEX solution driven, "customer first" approach.

This is a field sales position to cover LOWER MAINLAND VANCOUVER (CANADA), team, with a concentration and home base location of VANCOUVER. Daily travel throughout the territory with some overnight. Industry experience is essential, together with local market knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and grow sales of ARDEX and Henry products across assigned territory
  • Drive lead generation and new business opportunities through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays.
  • Develop new and existing relationships with partner distributors, specialist flooring / tiling and general contractors, architects and key business influencers.
  • Provide unmatched level of field service and support through job start assistance, assistance with preparing bids, and distributor and installer training
  • Make technical recommendations liaising with the technical team for resources and solutions.
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans.
  • Achieve and exceed targets, goals, and objectives, as established with Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers.
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essential. Minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries or flooring or tiling installation systems is required.
  • Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale
  • High levels of business integrity, ethics and good professional judgement
  • Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel daily throughout assigned territory, including some overnight.
  • Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada. Must be able to travel occasionally to United States (corporate office training programs)

Education

  • Four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, or minimum completed high school diploma with relevant industry work experience
