Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

The Human Resources Coordinator possesses excellent communication skills and has reception responsibilities as well as provides administrative and functional support to all departments, mainly supporting Human Resources. The Human Resources Coordinator will present a professional attitude when dealing with both internal and external contacts and will endeavor to create a team atmosphere.

NOTE: This position will be located in Belleville, ON

You will:

  • Provide administrative support for the Belleville facility as needed, including coverage of the front desk and support payroll and administrative staff as required
  • Coordinate recruitment activities
  • Monitor and log all daily attendance calls
  • Assist with filing and maintaining human resources files
  • Manage daily courier services
  • Support the Human Resource function as required
  • Coordinate events, lunches, etc. as needed
  • Assist JBS employees with various concerns and queries
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the organization

You Have:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources or related program.
  • 1-2 years of related experience within a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Be committed working within a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
