Pocketed is hiring a Content Marketing Intern for a summer internship!

Pocketed is a rapidly growing software startup that helps businesses across North America access billions of dollars in ‘free money' through grants, tax credits, and incentives. As a Content Marketing Intern, you will play an important role in building and nurturing relationships with our customers, users, and community. You will be responsible for content creation, graphic design, and video editing to drive digital audience engagement our business-to-business (B2B) software company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Development: Create compelling and original content for our website, social media channels, blog, email newsletters, and other digital platforms.
  2. Writing and Editing: Use AI tools like ChatGPT to write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of purposes, including articles, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials. Proofread and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and style.
  3. Multimedia Production: Create multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, to enhance our online presence and storytelling efforts.
  4. Social Media Management: Help manage and grow our social media presence by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments, and identifying trends and opportunities for content creation.
  5. Content Strategy: Contribute ideas and insights to help develop and execute content strategies that align with our brand identity, target audience, and marketing goals.
  6. Research: Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to inform content creation and strategy.
  7. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of content across various channels using analytics tools. Prepare regular reports summarizing key metrics and insights to inform future content decisions.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and sales, to ensure alignment of content with overall business objectives and messaging.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative content ideas and storytelling approaches.
  • Proficiency in using content creation tools and platforms, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot, and social media management tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude toward professional development.
  • Passionate about creating impact and delivering exceptional experiences, and keen to contribute to a performance-driven culture
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is a plus but not required.

Your Benefits:

In this role you will work closely with a tight-knit founding team to rapidly design and build new generation solutions to real-world problems. As part of our growth team, you will have the full support of our Head of Marketing and our entire marketing team.

More specifically, your benefits will include:

  • $18 to $20 per hour, based on your experience
  • Vacation, sick days (5 days), and up to 5 bonus company days off (2 days at Christmas, 3 days in the summer).
  • Full time position (40 hours / week), working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Summer internship (8 weeks long, potential to extend)
  • Remote work arrangement (our team is distributed across Canada, but we have an office space in Vancouver if you prefer a change of scenery).
  • Structured growth meetings and team meetings (we meet with intention – nobody likes to meet … to meet)
