WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Plant Manager will lead a team of hourly employees and directs production operations for CBM's Windsor plant in order to ensure efficient use of resources, in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Supervise unionized hourly workforce and maintain a high level of employee morale at the plant.
  • Support the labour relations process through administering the collective bargaining agreement and managing grievances and appropriate discipline.
  • Dispatch and load concrete trucks. Manage timing and delivery to customer sites (logistics).
  • Complete paperwork, data entry, quality testing and reporting as needed.
  • Comply with Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Environment legislation and regulations. Implements training, administration and compliance with applicable Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Sales Representative and Technical Services to meet the customers' needs and specifications.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Two years post-secondary education with experience in construction, building, or related industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience of an hourly workforce.
  • People management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work regular overtime during peak season.
