What you'll do

As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will create and deliver high-performing email, landing page assets, and more. You will collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager and Brand team to improve and execute the strategy for all email workflows, templates and messaging pieces. This role will join forces with our Copywriters and Visual Designers to create the copy and visual content to meet acquisition, conversion, and activity targets for both prospective and existing users.

We are a hybrid office, with team members working from home and in our Vancouver office. This role is remote eligible within Canada and requires availability during the Pacific Standard Time Zone business hours.

Your responsibilities

Implement the Communications Strategy

  • Work collaboratively with the Growth Marketing Manager to distill email and landing page assets pertaining to the communications strategy as well as ad hoc projects
  • Build marketing automation journeys and workflows in collaboration with the Engineering, Product Design, and Product Management teams
  • Segment users based on demographics, behaviors, and desired responses/actions, collaborating with internal client teams as needed
  • Maintain awareness and adhere to all Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) guidelines. Serve as the internal CASL expert for the team

Create and Disseminate High Performing Content

  • Collaborate with the Brand team to create the copy and visual content needed to create, adjust, and optimize all email workflows, messages, and landing pages
  • Build the required email and landing page assets pertaining to key audience segments and triggers

Measure, Report, and Optimize Email Tactics

  • Use reporting tools to track and communicate the performance of built emails and landing pages to relevant teams
  • Consistently utilize A/B testing in collaboration with the Growth Marketing Manager and the Research team to optimize email and landing page results
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager and the Business Analytics team to suggest reports that assist in the optimization of email and landing page channels

What we're looking for

  • 2-4 years of experience building high performance email and/or landing page assets
  • Proven understanding of audience segmentation and audience journey mapping
  • Technical experience using an EMS platform (such as Hubspot) as an email, landing page builder and CRM
  • Formal degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience
  • A team contributor versus a solo player, promoting collaboration and supporting the needs and objectives of your colleagues
  • Drive to continually push the bar higher, embrace innovation, welcome feedback, seek new information, and measure results

Bonus points

  • Experience utilizing HTML and CSS in email channels, as well as experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Compensation

The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000/year.
