Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is looking for an Engineering Solutions Support Associate to join our world-class Engineering Solutions Team, reporting to the Manager, Engineering Solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving problems, thinking creatively, and training and supporting the success of our customers which span the globe. You won't just be solving problems, as a part of our Engineering Solutions team you will also provide pre-sales support for large civil construction projects. This includes full plan review, diagnosis, thermal control planning, technical demonstrations, and estimates regarding the use of Giatec's technologies. This role is critical to the success of our business and truly separates Giatec from competitors in the market. Simply put, we are looking for someone with an engineering background to be a problem-solving guru for our customers.

The work location for this role is in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and our preference would be a candidate who can work in a hybrid environment both remotely and in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a deep understanding of our products.
  • Effectively and swiftly communicates with customers and manages expectations.
  • Successfully diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Onboarding and training customers on Giatec's products and services.
  • Identifying needs and challenges of civil construction projects.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Advocates on behalf of the customer.
  • Ability to carry out presentations and demos to stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to transfer knowledge and successes across our organization.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • We certainly appreciate and value candidates that have experience with customer success, technical support, or similar roles; however, this experience is not necessary for this position.
  • A passion for solving problems, thinking creatively, and advocating for the customer.
  • A bachelor's or master's engineering degree (civil engineering is a major plus!)
  • Ability to thrive in environments where change is constant, fast-paced, and often with strict deadlines.
  • “Growth hacker” or creative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to get stuff done.
  • Honest, caring, and candid communication style to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Humility, a willingness to share the credit and receive / consider new ideas from others.
  • Outstanding presentation ability along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
