DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants seeks a customer-oriented Manager to join one of our esteemed Private Enterprise Groups. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a public practice firm, specifically working with private, owner-managed clients. As our Private Enterprise practices continue to experience growth, we are seeking individuals ready to contribute to this expansion. How you'll make a difference:

• Strategically plan, manage, and execute Compilation and Review engagements, ensuring precision and excellence.
• Skillfully prepare financial statements with meticulous note disclosure in accordance with ASPE, demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct thorough review and finalization of corporate and personal income tax returns, alongside related financial statements, highlighting attention to detail and expertise in tax matters.
• Proactively identify and research potential resolutions for technical issues that arise during engagements, highlighting problem-solving prowess and commitment to delivering optimal solutions.
• Effectively monitor the progress of work being completed on files, maintaining clear communication with the team and partners to ensure seamless workflow.
• Demonstrate an acute ability to identify and analyze client needs, offering exceptional service and invaluable advice to our clients, thereby fostering enduring relationships.
• Play a pivotal role in client management, cultivating excellent relationships and actively seeking out business development opportunities to drive growth.
• Serve as a mentor and guide, offering training, development, and supervision to intermediate and junior staff, nurturing our culture of growth and excellence within the team.

Who you are:

• Experienced CPA with a proven track record, boasting two years of post-managerial experience in a public practice firm, specializing in Private Enterprise clientele.
• In this role, business development skills are not a prerequisite. Instead, the emphasis is on cultivating strong client relationships through adept communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Canadian tax preparation, encompassing personal and corporate tax returns, as well as various required filings such as trust returns and tax elections.
• Proficient in utilizing CaseWare and Taxprep, with additional experience in QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and other cloud-based applications being considered an asset.
• Well-versed in conducting review engagements, showcasing a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
