Resource Profile

• This requirement is for a cloud data solution architect with proven experience designing, and implementing complex large scale Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse and supporting Data Migration and Conversion initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  
• This candidate must be able to develop, refresh, and obtain approvals of solution architecture artifacts for solution development for the data lake/warehouse/lake house solution for the new ERP project leveraging the Oracle Fusion solution and the OCI/Azure data landscape and our legacy PeopleSoft implementations for both HR and Finance.
  
• The candidate must have experience developing architecture solutions involving data integrations of multiple applications, curation of data from different data sources, and have experience with large external SaaS providers and hyperspaces.
  

Resource Responsibilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with Business, Data, and IT specific groups as well as external partners to understand business requirements, develop, document, and review the conceptual, logical, and physical solution architectures required for the ERP Modernization project
  
• Undertake the design of technology solutions based on client's specifications, standards, policies, and best practices and cost models as in where and when available, in order to meet business requirements and project deliverables, and provide input /influence the adoption of standards where appropriate
  
• Identify architecture risks and analyses of potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives
  
• Design, build, and test cloud architecture to ensure large amounts of data can be transferred and stored efficiently
  
• Provide technical oversight through design, development, and implementation cycle including hands on support through all phases, including with troubleshooting and project delivery
  

Knowledge & Skills

MUST HAVE:

• University degree in applied sciences such as Computer Sciences, Systems Design, Engineering, Business or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent
  
• 6+ years of solution architecture/solution design experience, ideally with experience in large enterprise environments, including hands on experience with data platforms and cloud infrastructure including Azure Kubernetes, Azure Redhat Open Shift, Azure, SAS Enterprise Guide, IBM InfoSphere, Cloud Pak, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya, and Oracle, AWS S3 OCI Exadata
  
• 4+ years of solution architecture/solution design experience in a modern data lake/warehouse environment with knowledge of data/business vault, star schema, snowflake, and lakehouse methodologies, operating in the Azure ADLS Gen 2, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Snowflake, etc. or similar environments, and with familiarity with SCD Types and usage
  
• Excellent knowledge of RDMBS and SQL– Oracle and SQL Server relational databases, and experienced in the use of XML, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies for application and systems interoperability including sftp/mft, and event driven architectures
  
• Experience producing target solution architecture, as-is documentation, and to-be blueprints
  
• Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to use their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions; high initiative and ability to prioritize in a high pressure environment and ability to work on simultaneous projects
  
• Leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, and oral/written/presentation skills to lead the analysis, design, and development of enterprise technology/infrastructure architecture initiatives.
  

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience in the Insurance industry including the Accord reference model is a plus background accord models
  
• Experience in ERP implementations including PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusion, and/or Guidewire
  
• Experience with hyper scaler infrastructure design and integration including Azure, Oracle OCI, and AWS
  
• Experience with modern identity management and integrations services, persona/rbac design
