At Cherry Textiles, we are committed to designing and producing intricately crafted textiles. You will have the opportunity to work in a modern atelier space located in downtown Toronto. Equipment used in the textile studio are dobby looms, jacquard loom, digital embroidery, and applicants will be training to operate the weaving programs and embroidery.

Requirements

Required Skills: Sewing and quilting experience is an asset. Applicant must have creative and artful hand skill set as you will be weaving textiles on a variety of looms. Adobe Photoshop experience is an asset. Excellent time management and organization skills are a must.

Work Style: Applicant should have a strong interest in visual art, textile related crafts and/or fashion. Able to work as a team player as well as independently. Applicant must be detail oriented, punctual, and productive.

Language/Communication Requirements: Good oral and fluent English communication skills are required.

Suggested Education: Post-secondary diploma/certificate in Industrial Design, Sewing, or Visual Design. Students are welcome to apply.
