The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and confident in their abilities with a focus on customer service to develop client relationships from first contact through ongoing care.

As a specialized aesthetic nurse, the Nurse Injector is trained to administer cosmetic injectables including neuromodulators (Botox™, Dysport™) and dermal fillers (Juvéderm™ and Restylane™). The role is also responsible for conducting assessments pre and post treatment to address concerns, determine effectiveness, and monitor results. Ideally, the Nurse Injector should treat injections as an expression of art and have an in depth understanding of the anatomy of the face, while acting with a great deal of care and precision. This role requires a personable, motivated, and experienced nurse to work with Dermphi Centre's dynamic team of highly trained professionals.

Job Type:

This is a full-time position. Evenings and weekends will be required.

Expectations for the Role:

  • Represent the brand at all times by maintaining a poised and professional image.
  • Conduct thorough patient consultations and perform cosmetic injectables including neuromodulators (Botox™, Dysport™) and dermal fillers (Juvederm™ and Restylane™).
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans based on client assessments and suggest complimentary skin care products, make-up, and procedures (e.g., laser, light, body contouring).
  • Seek the advice and supervision of physicians on treatment protocols, as required.
  • Provide follow-up care to clients and address any post treatment concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed charting and clinic documentation for each client.
  • Responsible for knowing and ensuring health and safety standards in relation to personal conduct and maintenance of tools, products, and supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing developmental opportunities to advance knowledge and ensure effectiveness of treatments administered.
  • Responsible for ensuring health and safety standards are met through personal conduct and maintenance of supplies.
  • Ability to sell products and services to our clients based on their individual needs.
  • Work with team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly skin care and service sales targets determined by management.
  • Make outside sales calls to generate interest through community marketing, health & wellness events, in-house client events, and follow-up calls to current and previous clients.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Current registration and in good standing with their governing body as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • Completion and/or certification from aesthetics courses in injectables including neuromodulators (Botox™, Dysport™) and dermal fillers (Juvéderm™ and Restylane™).

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a nurse injector.
  • 2 years prior experience in a customer service role is an asset.
  • Prior experience in retail role is an asset.
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certification / Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Knowledge of current issues, trends, and best practices with respect to injectable cosmetics.
  • Skilled at recommending appropriate treatment plans to ensure quality service and optimize sales and referrals.
  • Personable and able to put clients at ease.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating a friendly and courteous attitude towards colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and work effectively under pressure within a fast-paced and continuously evolving work environment.
  • Proficiently manages time and remains well organized to maintain a smooth, punctual, and optimal client appointment flow.
  • Meticulous, precise, and focused on attention to detail.
  • Charismatic and able to communicate effectively to provide exceptional quality service and client care.
  • Available to work flexible hours (e.g., weekdays, evenings, and weekends).

Asset Qualifications:

  • Sales experience in a related customer service field (health and wellness, spa, medical, fitness, retail) (preferred).
  • Business management and hospitality experience (preferred).
  • Make-up application experience (preferred).
  • Medical terminology experience (preferred).
  • Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) experience (preferred).
  • Strong social media presence (preferred)

A clear Criminal Background check, inclusive of a vulnerable sector search, is required to start. If you have resided outside of Calgary in the past 12 months, you will need to contact the local police or RCMP detachment in your previous residential municipality to be able to obtain a full report.
