Landscape foreman will be involved in aspects of civil and/or the landscaping phase of Milestones projects.

Duties & Responsibilities - What is my role?

  • Execute field expertise in achieving schedule and production requirements for all site works.
  • Complete daily inspections and FLHA / tool box, Review SWP with the team before starting work.
  • Participate and lead if required tool box meetings, SWP reviews, Incident reviews and weekly safety meetings.
  • Effective communication with the Superintendent.
  • Accurate execution of quality control programs to ensure the consistent use of industry and organizational best practices.
  • Ensuring that the work, resources and productions are reported to the Superintendent accurately by the end of each shift.
  • Report unforeseen project changes to the Superintendent.
  • Support and facilitate coordination on-site with crew, sub contractors, and vendors.
  • Accurately complete daily quantity survey requirements and report daily to ensure Quantities are maximized to support month-end billing in the work orders and to the Superintendent.
  • Following the use of PO's when getting supplies.
  • Assisting in accurate completion of material receiving reports. (On Sitedocs)
  • Collect As-Built data as work is being completed.
  • Ensure that all daily quality assurance hold points and all required survey checks are completed and within tolerance.
  • Communicating survey needs to the Superintendent
  • Supports Superintendent with day to day work and reporting.
  • Supports with supervision of site staff.
  • Ensure the use of proper construction techniques and adherence to milestone quality standards.
  • Demonstrate, mentor, and coach the construction team to Ensure quality and safety standards are not compromised in the day-to-day work plans.
  • Team development that includes the support and mentorship of Operators, Pipelayers, and laborers.
  • Represent Milestone with a high level of professionalism both within the organization and throughout the community.
  • Contribute and review the next day work plan with the Superintendent.
  • Lead by example Demonstrating Milestone Values while effectively motivating the Construction team in meeting required schedule and productions
  • Ensure accurate equipment hours are reported daily to the superintendent
  • Proactively Communicate resources needed to the superintendent. ( tools, rentals)
  • Submit weekly inspections of sea cans and other supplies needed to the Superintendent.
  • Ensuring that equipment is inspected, cleaned, dried, and stored after use to guarantee equipment is ready to work the following day without delay or breakdowns to efficiently utilize charged for the following day (Batteries, GPS, lasers, radios, gas detectors charged and ready)
  • Reporting equipment damage and repairs to the Superintendent.

Qualifications & Requirements - What skills & qualifications do I need?

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to do extensive physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in all weather.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Friendly, positive, and open attitude, always willing to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work and communicate within a team.
  • Help promote and work within a culture of jobsite safety, where safety is everyone's #1 priority.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Ability to consistently complete daily safety documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
