You'll play a vital role in supporting employee relations, training & development, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
Be the go-to person for employee HR questions and concerns.
Maintain employee handbooks, company policies, and organizational charts.
Manage and lead training initiatives and support employee professional growth.
Oversee the annual performance review process.
Support progressive discipline programs and conduct workplace investigations.
Actively participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) and address health and safety concerns.
Work on various HR projects and maintain accurate employee files.
Provide backup support for payroll processing and assist with recruitment initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business.
5+ years of general HR experience.
Strong understanding of employment law and regulations.
Previous experience with Health & Safety best practices.
Proven ability to conduct thorough workplace investigations.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Plus Points:
CHRP designation is a plus.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
Experience managing large-scale HR projects is a plus.
