Our product has created quite the buzz, so we need to add a Cost Accountant who shares our passion for innovative technology, social impact for good, and the thrill of helping companies grow.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ledger entries.
• Verify expense reports and supporting receipts or other documentation.
• Verify and analyze bank statements.
• Develop strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing to ensure the best ROE.
• Prepare budgeting reports by collecting data from various departments within the organisation.
• Rectify discrepancies & perform month-end activities, including journal entries & reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Research material costs to ensure accuracy of information in the company's accounting system.
• Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.

Requirements

• A bachelors degree in finance or commerce with a specialisation in accountancy.
• 3+ years of experience in the accountancy field or an equivalent role.
• Current enrolled as CPA or pursuing a path towards certification.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and well-acquainted with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to work independently or within a team and show initiative.
