Job Description

Our Team Lead, Finance Applications Support will lead a dedicated team responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for finance-related software applications.

As the Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our finance systems. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day activities of the support team, coordinating incident resolution, prioritizing tasks, and collaborating with other departments to address business needs effectively.

We are looking for candidates who have a strong technical background in finance systems, along with proven leadership and team management skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of application support specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure high-quality support services are delivered.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of finance-related software applications this includes but is not limited to Dynamics D365 Finance and Operations, Treasury Automation Suite, Lucernex, Medius, Coupa, Givex, Ayden and One Source Tax Determination
  • Issue Resolution: Handle escalated technical issues and complex problem-solving, working closely with your team and other departments to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • User Support: Coordinate the resolution of user inquiries and support requests related to finance systems, ensuring timely responses and excellent customer service.
  • System Enhancements: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements, working with your team to implement changes and updates as needed.
  • Documentation and Training: Ensure that comprehensive documentation is maintained for finance systems, and provide training and support to end-users as necessary to ensure they can effectively utilize the software.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors of finance systems, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that service level agreements are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of finance systems and data.
  • Compliance: Ensure that finance systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, and implement measures to mitigate risks related to data security and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the application support function, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.

Working Conditions:

  • May require evenings and weekends to complete projects
  • Provide after hours and/or weekend or holiday support (unscheduled support), as business needs arise
Qualifications

Let's Talk About You:

  • A post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Operations, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, supporting, customizing, integrating, and managing Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 Finance Modules, including expertise in the following areas:
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Credit and collections
  • Fixed assets
  • General ledger
  • Expense management
  • Tax
  • Cash and bank management
  • Sales Operations
  • Store Financials
  • Experience with the following Financial Applications would be an asset.
  • Treasury Automation Suite
  • Lucernex
  • Medius
  • Coupa
  • Givex
  • Ayden
  • One Source Tax Determination
  • Experience with compliance and governance frameworks (SOX preferred)
  • Industry certifications preferred such as: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-300, MB-310)
  • 3+ years direct experience supporting enterprise applications
  • Extensive experience in the Microsoft technology stack
  • Experience supporting applications in a Discrete Manufacturing or Retail vertical
  • Understanding for accounting principles an asset
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework and related support processes
  • Work with 3rd party vendors, partners and other technical resources to resolve end user issues
  • Understanding of end-user needs and requirements
