The Team:
The MCFD Mission team is an established and collaborative group that provides essential administrative support to the service delivery community. Consisting of four Team Assistants reporting to one Office Manager, the team works closely with Team Leaders, Social Workers, Clinicians, Probation Officers, and Directors to help ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. By coordinating scheduling, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting daily operations, the team enables professional staff to focus on client care and service outcomes. Team members are valued for their ability to work both independently and collaboratively, creating a supportive and reliable work environment.

The Role:
The Team Assistant plays an important role in supporting professional staff by managing records, coordinating financial processes, greeting clients, and assisting with daily office operations to ensure high-quality service delivery. Through strong administrative support and organization, the position helps clients access services in a timely manner, receive accurate information, and benefit from well-coordinated care. Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Certificate or coursework and six (6) months related experience; OR
  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and six (6) months related experience; OR
  • Evergreen and one (1) year related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related Experience may include

  • Six (6) months experience working in a computerized environment using various computer applications and data bases. (For example: Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel, Outlook) for word processing, spread sheeting, data entry, email and video teleconferencing; and case management or other database applications.
  • Experience providing quality customer or client service, carrying out duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner.
  • Experience working independently and as a team member with a multi-disciplinary environment and with other professional staff, client, and service providers.

Preferences may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families in a human/social services setting.
  • Experience using MCFD applications: Integrated Case Management (ICM) and/or Management Information Systems (MIS) computer applications.
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in the office with multi-functional team.

About this Position:
There is one (1) full time permanent position available in Mission.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies for Mission and Abbotsford. Positions will be offered based on location availability.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
