Key Responsibilities

Design Excellence & Collaboration:

  • Craft original, aesthetically pleasing, and user-centric visual designs, refining them to perfection.

  • Collaborate closely with Interaction Design and User Research teams to develop iterative designs aligned with user goals.

  • Engage directly with development engineers and product owners to ensure design solutions adhere to the envisioned user experience.

  • Create mock-ups and prototypes for usability studies, co-leading visual design reviews, and offering developer guidance.

  • Actively participate in concept development and ideation, contributing to solutions with measurable impacts.

  • Maintain visual consistency across layouts, color palettes, typography, iconography, and UI elements while ensuring design integrity.

  • Co-create and manage the design system to uphold consistency in design.

  • Customize experiences for diverse platforms and screen resolutions, ensuring optimal user engagement.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Cultivate strong relationships across cross-functional squads, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success

  • Work well independently and collaboratively by leveraging key platforms

  • Advocate for best practice standards as well as prioritization of design centered updates

  • Communicate effectively applied knowledge of design principles

  • Co-facilitate design workshops

  • Provide developer guidance across squads

Education & Certification

  • Post-secondary education with focus on digital visual design and/or graphic design

  • Frontend Certification (HTML/CSS/JS)

Experience

  • 3-5 years working as a digital visual designer

  • Familiar with B2C responsive websites and mobile apps

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Design and prototyping tools (Adobe CS, Figma)

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS

  • Familiar with accessibility standards
