Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment and Retention Coordinators will:

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, policies, programs, practices and tactics in local, national and international environments.

  • Establish and maintain effective external relationships (e.g. communities, employers, regulators, post-secondary institutions) that support collaboration and advance the annual plan and objectives of the Agency.

  • Provide specialized and complex information on professional licensure, including required national examinations and assessment pathways, to physicians and health professionals considering Saskatchewan as a place to work/practice.

  • Build trusting relationships with students, residents, physicians and health professionals to influence their decision on where to work/practice.

  • Utilize, support and troubleshoot software that hosts candidate profiles to ensure the Agency has the insights needed to promote career opportunities and service customers in the recruitment, training and settlement processes

  • Lead and maintain the processes focused on candidate engagement to advance progression in the recruitment process including the promotion of incentives, resources for licensing and career opportunities

  • Contribute in the sourcing and recruitment activities such initial screening of profiles and resumes; tracking and reporting to further develop pipelines leading to possible employment

  • Conduct research and healthcare career promotion to students and residents

  • Support recruitment activities undertaken by the SHRA.

Travel Required: Local, national and international travel is required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree of diploma in human resources or commerce/business administration or other relevant field.

Competencies

  • Computer Skills
  • Two to three years of experience working with diverse and external clients, ideally in human resource recruitment.
  • Knowledge of physician and health professional licensure or immigration would be considered an asset

  • Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Word and Outlook and basic skills in Microsoft Excel.
