About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Metal Framer - Carpentry to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bringing our construction projects to life. You will work with a variety of materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create high-quality structures that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on-site to ensure timely project completion.
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in carpentry or metal framing.
• Certificates: Working at heights training is required.
• Equipment Experience: Proficiency in using hand tools.
