This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work between 32 to 60 hours per week, driving as part of a two-person team or convoy.

Key Responsibilities

• Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism.
• Load and unload goods efficiently and safely.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
• Communicate effectively with central dispatch and relay important information.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2 to less than 3 years of driving experience.
• Language: English.

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
• Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
• Communication Systems Experience: Ability to operate GPS and other navigation equipment, as well as trip recorders (on-board computers).
• Transportation/Travel Experience: Experience in international, long-haul, national, and provincial/territorial travel.
• Security and Safety: Valid passport and willingness to travel cross-border and internationally.
