Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load and unload goods with care and precision.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other essential equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch efficiently.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.

Qualifications

Education

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
