Key Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Demonstrate mountain driving expertise.
- Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
- Conduct brake adjustments and perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
- Complete pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
