About the Job

As a Carpenter with HI-RISE CARPENTRY LIMITED, you will play a crucial role in various projects, from residential renovations to commercial constructions. Your expertise will help us build and maintain structures that stand the test of time. This is a permanent position, offering 35 to 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates of labour and material costs.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
  • Survey building locations and levels.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Experience

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
