In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professionalism in customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components.
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
- Prepare auto body surfaces for painting by masking and taping.
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills; bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces.
- Repair or replace interior components.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a similar role.
- Certificates: Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification and Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
