About the Job
This is a permanent position offering 30 to 40 hours of work per week. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings. Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Instruct apprentices and guide them in their development.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for various projects.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 5 years or more in plumbing or equivalent experience.
