Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Maintain financial records and establish, balance, and maintain various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
Qualifications
Education
- College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience
Computer and Technology Knowledge
- Proficient in accounting software
- Familiarity with Caseware/Caseview, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, QuickBooks, Spreadsheet, Xero, and Sage Accounting Software
